“Signs of Resistance” at Panorama Framing and Gallery runs thru September 3. Join us at the mid-show Reception!: Thursday August 3, 6-8pm.

Panorama Framing & Gallery on Grand Avenue may be the place for you this Summer. Presenting “Signs of Resistance” a collection of contemporary “propaganda” from the Lighthouse Collection of Propaganda, Panorama establishes itself as a headquarters of the East Bay Resistance.

The Lighthouse Collection, owned and curated by San Francisco Political consultant Brook Turner, is one of the nation’s most extensive collections of political street art (think Shepard Fairey and Banksy).

“Signs of Resistance” is a group of very recent creations in response to the Trump presidency and includes some of the best from the Women’s March, the March for Science and the Tax Day protests. Featured artists include Oakland’s own Hugh D’Andrade, Jon Paul Bale, Wesley Douglas Timms (cover photo above), and Billy Triggs.

The public is also invited to fight the man by contributing to an installation of their own “signs” of Resistance.

A portion of proceeds from the pieces that are for sale will be donated to the Electronic Frontier Foundation (www.eff.org)! 🙂

Join us at the mid-show Reception!, Thursday August 3, 6-8pm.

Fantastic local musician Oluyemi Thomas will be on hand with an array of instruments and musicality to wow us with… 🙂
