Kala Art Institute currently presents their annual juried exhibition of prints, photography, paintings, drawings, video, digital media, mixed media, and sculpture through February 4, 2012. The exhibit features a wide array of experiences, interests, and perspectives. The Kala Artists’ Annual includes works from over 90 members of their artist community including Fellows, Artists-in-Residence, workshop instructors and staff. There has been a continued, significant increase of participating artists and quality of work over the several years the exhibiton has been held.
Kala Art Institute assists artists sustain their creative efforts over time through its Artist-in-Residence and Fellowship Programs. Through their exhibitions, public programming and education they aid in increased appreciation of their work.
The Kala Institute is at 2990 San Pablo Avenue in Berkeley Tuesday-Friday, noon-5:00p.m and Saturday, noon-4:30 p.m.
