Hosted by Popuphood‘s Marion and Rose’s Workshop in Old Oakland, “Hit and Run” was a one-night only sale of affordable artwork from current Mills MFA candidates. The event on Saturday the 28th of January was a highly successful fundraiser, the proceeds of which supported Mills MFA students and helped them fund their MFA exhibition catalog. There was a lot of amazing affordable art, all under $80. There was also plenty of cupcakes, cookies, and El Taco bike outside selling carnitas tacos!
There was artwork for sale by artists Evan Barbour, Susanna Corcoran, Madelyn Covey, Claire Colette, Lauren Douglas, Matthew Gottschalk, Lu Hanna, Samuel Jones, Michael Koehle, Keegan Luttrell, Jocelyn Meggait, Michael Mersereau, Nadja Miller, Seth Murchison, Camilla Newhagen, Barbara Obata, Meri Page, Tressa Pack, Simon Pyle, Kent Rodriguez-Segura, Jenny Sharaf, Sofia Sharpe, Kate Shor, and Katy Warner.
