Berkeley Art Center: ‘Forever Young!’ BUSD Youth Exhibition @ Berkeley Art Center

16700489_10155125950054679_1170524816583156814_oIn conjunction with National Arts Education Month, Forever Young will celebrate and honor Berkeley Unified District (BUSD) K-8 visual arts! This year the exhibition features the work of teachers and their students side by side in an exploration of mentorship and relationship. Participating Berkeley schools include Berkeley Arts Magnet, Cragmont, Emerson, Jefferson, John Muir, Le Conte, Longfellow, Malcolm X, Oxford, Rosa Parks, Thousand Oaks, and Willard. Family Day will feature hands-on art activities for all ages, music, and food trucks in the park.

Material Girls presents the work of Lynn Aldrich and Sabina Ott, two artists who work intensely with everyday, banal materials to create distinctive artworks that are large-scale, enigmatic, and astounding–with a touch of humor.

Admission: General: $5; Youth (13-17) $3; Children 12 and under, free; FREE for Bg Members. Complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres hosted by Bedford Gallery Guild.
